Overview

Responsibilities

Currently, we are searching for a dynamic, highly motivated and goal-oriented Brand Manager for our Purchase, NY (Westchester) office. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing brand strategy, working to achieve brand volume, equity, market share, and profitability goals. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

The duties and responsibilities of the position include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):

 

  • Develop and execute brand plans: short- and long-term objectives and tactics, brand and price positioning, USPs, above- and below-the-line budgets, advertising, promotions, packaging, POS development, PR and programming
  • Develop innovation / line extensions: research sourcing and packaging options, negotiate pricing, track category trends, competitive activity, and additional indicators with an emphasis on drawing strategic insights from the data
  • Work on analyses and recommendations including evaluation of effectiveness of marketing programs, development and tracking of metrics, and calculation of ROI
  • Manage logistics of Supplier Travel, Public Relations Initiatives, Events, and Programs.  Coordinate with PR team
  • Manage outside agencies as necessary (packaging, PR, events, etc.)
  • Support sales force requests for brand information, artwork, pricing, and special initiatives
  • Liaise with suppliers on wine release & technical data, including volume and price negotiations in close concert with VP of Supplier Relations
  • Oversee and update branded information across all communication channels
  • Act as Brand representative / spokesperson at industry and special events locally and across the country
  • Work the market during brand focus periods alongside Kobrand and Distributor sales representatives; travel comprises approximately 4-6 weeks per year but will vary by level of brand activity

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required;  MBA preferred but not required
  • 5+ years of experience in brand management with a consumer products company; alcohol beverage experience (beer, wine or spirits) preferred; 
  • Superior analytical skills with strong financial/business acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; exceptional presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently with high internal motivation
  • Willingness to travel and participate in after-hours brand events
  • Strong computer skills are a MUST.  (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
